Starting on the idea “crossover”, an integration of the value chain of the creative industries
After the high-tech industry, the creative industry has become the most money making industry that sweeps across the whole world, and every nation makes effort to promote it. The government started on the “Nation’s Development Plan” in 2002 and listed cultural and creative industries, and from then on, cultural and creative industries reached new milestone. Facing the fact that nations around the world all actively promote their billions-valued cultural and creative industries, the government passed the “Cultural and Creative Law” early this year, that is expressed the direction of their development and enforcement rules, like a tonic pill taken for the people work in creative industries, they will not have to fight alone no more, instead, the complete planning for building up the brand image of Taiwanese cultural and creative manufacturers will be done by the Council of Cultural Affairs’ “International Exchange and Expansion Plan for Taiwan’s Cultural and Creative Industry”, and their “Cultural and Creative Industry Expo”.
The first “2010 Taiwan International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo” held by the Council of Cultural Affairs is the starting point of linking Taiwan’s creative industries and mining the potentials. The government at its height selects specialized products of Taiwan’s cultural and creative manufacturers along with aid of putting them on the stage of international expos. These acts bring integration of upstream and downstream industries of medium, small, and micro cultural and creative industrial manufacturers in Taiwan for marketing internationally cooperatively.
Objective:
Based on “living” originality, starting off the soft power economic miracle
Taiwan has a profound Chinese culture within and has integrated dimensions of cultures of many countries, and that formed the unique living art of Taiwanese style. The 2010 TICCIE will present Taiwanese living art with full-range and bring Taiwan’s rich and diverse culture forward, from designs, manufacturing to creative marketing, on the international stage

The TICCIE will build up an exclusive platform to powerfully back Taiwan’s cultural and creative industries, making the designers work by with all their hearts and souls and, market-accessing for manufacturers, hoping that would bring out exquisite production to the buyers.
